An April 2013 paper from the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology made this stunning discovery. Metabolic health, or, how well your body uses insulin to process sugar in the blood, is not working as well as in previous generations.
The reason? Our high intake of empty carbs and fast foods, which causes high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and even type-2 diabetes. But it also ages you by 15 years!
In fact, today’s 45 year-olds are on par with the aging process of 60 year olds! Twenty and 30 year old age ranges are also aging at the same 15-year rate.
As scary as it is, there is good news. You don’t have to be a victim of Metabolic Syndrome. You can take control of your health.
• Get regular physical exercise-Walk regularly or go to the gym
• Eat smart-Skip the junk food and empty carbs
• Skip the soda-There is absolutely nothing good about a soda
• Relax and renew-Get regular facials or a massage
